ECVO Congresses A meeting for everyone

A scientific meeting
Each Spring the ECVO holds its annual congress in a major European city and every year it is organized over 4 days around a central topic. In 2021, the virtual conference starts with the two-day ECVO Scientific Meeting, which is comprised of numerous abstract presentations from all over the world and poster sessions. It culminates on the first day in the interactive and always stimulating ECVO Practical Slide Session of Hereditary Eye Diseases. A State-of-the-Art Lecture is one of the main highlights of the meeting and it is delivered by a special honorary guest on the second day of the meeting. This is followed by the Continuing Education day, which offers the opportunity to listen to presentations from the most prestigious, world-leading researchers and clinicians. The congress reaches its end with the ECVO Master Class sessions with a series of lectures on topics related to the central topic of Uveal Diseases and presented by widely respected experts in this field. Additional congress highlights include the announcement of the winners of the ECVO Grants (which fund research in areas of Veterinary Ophthalmology through ECVO residents/diplomates) and the ECVO Awards (given to the best scientific presentation and best poster).

A social meeting

The ECVO congress offers all of its delegates a great opportunity to meet friends from all over the world, make new ones, and visit representatives from the leading industry markets within a friendly and open atmosphere. In 2021, these interactions will be through the virtual platform. ECVO hopes that in 2022 the social events will include a special reception, the ECVO Gala dinner, and the local culinary, historical, and natural charm of the host city again.
