The Examination and Executive Committees recognise the importance of providing candidates and colleagues with sufficient notice for planning purposes.
The theoretical examination is held annually, typically in March or April, with exact dates announced approximately 10 months in advance. It is conducted remotely (computer-based), and candidates may sit the exam in their home country, provided specific conditions are met. These include direct invigilation by a European or American Diplomate (from any recognised college).
The practical examination takes place onsite within the same calendar year. While we aim to announce the date and location one year in advance, this may not always be feasible due to logistical considerations.
