Following graduation from The University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, Thomas spent 2 years in first-opinion small animal practice in Norfolk and then undertook a rotating small animal Internship at Dick White Referrals. During this time, he developed a particular interest in veterinary ophthalmology and then became the Ophthalmology Intern working for the Dick White Referrals Ophthalmology Service. Thomas then became an ECVO resident in veterinary ophthalmology at Dick White Referrals in 2019.
