Raquel graduated in 2016 from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). After working in general practice, she undertook a rotating internship at the referral teaching Veterinary Hospital of the Catholic University of Valencia (Spain). Her interest in ophthalmology encouraged her to move to the UK in 2020 concluding a Certificate in Ophthalmology by the ISVPS. She completed an ophthalmology internship and work as a clinician at Optivet Referrals, where she has now started her position as an ECVO resident under the supervision of Marta Portillo and Prado Cebrián. Outside of work she loves dancing, trekking and practising yoga.
