My name is Ana Cristina Piroth. I graduated from Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich in 2016 and obtained my doctoral degree from the University of Zurich in 2020. In 2018 I moved to Vienna and completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna in 2019 followed by a one-year speciality internship at the same institution. Afterwards, I worked at a private small animal referral hospital in Germany where I specialized in ophthalmology and surgery. I started my residency training in June 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Claudia Busse at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover Foundation. Out of work I spend time on care work and am committed to the climate movement. I enjoy travelling and reading.
