Adolfo Guandalini,DMV, PhD, Dipl.ECVO, DIU Chir. RetinoVitreenne Private practitioner, Ophthalmology Head Department, Centro Veterinario Specialistico (CVS), Rome, Italy Dr. Guandalini got his degree in Veterinary Medicine in July 1988 from the University of Perugia (“summa cum laude”). Since May 1998 he is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ECVO). He got his PhD in Veterinary Ophthalmology in February 2001. In 2015 he obtained the DIU (Diplome InterUniversitaire ) in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the Medical School of the University of Dijon. He was the Chairman of the Reevaluation Committee (2001-2010) of the ECVO and until 2015 he was a Member of this Committee. He is a Member of the HED (Hereditary Eye Diseases) committee of the ECVO and Chief of the Italian Panel of the ECVO Diplomates. Since 1992 until 2007 he was a member of the Board of Regents of the SOVI (Italian Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology) and President in 2001-2004. . Adjunct Professor in Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Specialty School in Medicine and Surgery of the horse of the University of Teramo. Since 1997 until now he is speaker and instructor at the annual Ophthalmology course of SOVI-SCIVAC-ESVPS. He was Member of the local organizing Committee of the ECVO/ESVO/ISVO/SOVI meeting in Genova (2007). He is author and co-author of several scientific papers published in National and International journals. He was a speaker in a large number of National and International meetings
