Lionel Sebbag obtained his veterinary medical degree from the National Veterinary School of Toulouse (France), followed by a rotating internship at Kansas State University and a residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of California-Davis (DACVO). He then worked at Iowa State University as an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology while completing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences focused on Ocular Pharmacology and translational research. Dr. Sebbag currently holds a position as a Senior Lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem – Koret School of Veterinary Medicine (Israel). He received multiple academic awards and authored over 50 articles in biomedical journals. His clinical and research interests include ocular surface diseases, tear film biology and innovations in drug delivery to the eye.
