My name is Francisco Cantero and I graduated at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in 2003.. Afterwards, I undertook a one year rotating internship (2003-2004) at the Sierra de Madrid Veterinary Hospital where I developed a strong interest in veterinary ophthalmology. After several years in general practice I attended a postgraduate course at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2008, several clinical externships in UK and CPDs related to veterinary ophthalmology. I also spent several years in first opinion ophthalmology gaining experience and became a member of ophthalmology workgroups. Since September 2018, I am an ECVO resident at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) under the supervision of Dr. Marta Leiva and Dr. Teresa Peña. In my free time I like travelling, cooking, skiing and scuba-diving.
