Manuela Crasta graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Perugia, Italy, in 1997. From this moment she began her career in ophthalmology with an alternative route residency starting in Rome, continuing at University of Paris, Long Island Vet Specialists, Florida, North Carolina and ending at the University of Barcelona in Spain. She was Doctorate Student in the Small Animal Clinic of the veterinary faculty, University of Messina between the years of 2005 and 2008, during which she completed her doctoral Thesis: Bleomicine as a treatment for palpebral SCC in cats.
She is currently working in Bologna. She created Visionvet an eye clinic where she works with a team fully involved in the vision health. She finally obtains the European Diploma and she will create soon the first place in Italy where a resident can be formed in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Manuela's areas of personal interest are corneal, cataract surgery and retina’s world.
