Niklas graduated from the University of Berlin in Germany. He pursued a rotating internship and a specialized internship in ophthalmology in the small animal clinic at the University of Zurich. Thereafter he did an ophthalmology residency at the same institution under the supervision of Antonella Rampazzo, Katrin Voelter, Simon Pot, and Richard McMullen. Niklas successfully passed his board exam in 2025 and is currently working in a multidisciplinary small animal clinic in Switzerland.
