Azzurra qualified from the University of Sassari, Sardinia (Italy) in 2010. After several years working in general practice, she completed an Internship in Ophthalmology in Northern Italy. In 2016, she relocated to the UK and after spending two years in general practice, she undertook a three years Ophthalmology Residency Training Programme and obtained the European Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2023. Azzurra worked in a busy multidisciplinary Referral Hospital in Buckinghamshire for 5 years before joining Optivet in 2026 as the Lead Ophthalmologist of the Waltham Forest branch.
