Dear ECVO Community,
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Christine Heinrich, an exceptional ophthalmologist and a true pillar of our community.
Christine embodied the very qualities we all strive to emulate. She was known throughout the ECVO for her unwavering dedication, vibrant spirit, and the infectious positivity that touched everyone she met. She gave generously of her time and expertise, spending countless hours supporting others with a selflessness that defined her character. Although she had been courageously battling cancer for several years, the news of her passing remains difficult to comprehend.
Christine’s funeral will take place on October 10th, 2025, at 11:00 AMin Hereford, UK. Further details will be available on the clinic’s website: https://www.eyevetclinic.co.uk/. For those unable to attend in person, the ECVO will circulate a video link to the service in due course.
